Last summer I began a large 15" x 60" egg tempera work of my beloved river. I felt her, the painting, while walking along her banks, the river, on these lovely May mornings. This morning I stumbled upon a quote about time being a river with no banks. Imagine that?
There is something about working with egg tempera that calms the soul and suspends time. Perhaps one is enveloped in time far from any banks. Seems right.
